Our new toolkits - making the assembly even easier

Our new workshop - more space for watch fans! Reading Our new toolkits - making the assembly even easier 3 minutes

For the last years, we have been working on creating the best watchmaking experience for fans of Horology and for those wanting to assemble their own watches. While we are constantly improving on our watch models and components and our instructions, one thing we have succesfully completed now is our new premium toolkit. Building on our existing set of tools, we aimed to deliver the best quality tools (without the typical Swiss price tag) and make the assembly easier, including feedback received from you.

The new tool kits will be part of all our kits in the future - for now the tool kits are being tested in our Live seminars!

So whats new?

The bottom of our kit remains pretty much the same - friction ball, Bergeon Rodico, Watchmakers Loupe with head wire, movement cushion and a cleanroom kit to ensure a clean build.
The changes are focussing on the top layer, our set of watchmaker precission tools.

We now additionally included a polymer component probe to press the movement into position or to move components without the need to touch them with your hand or to scratch them with the metal tweezers.

Underneath it, you will find the new set of watch hand levers. The current pair fulfilled its job, but there was still room for improvement so we are now using a higher quality of steel with a longer leverage to ensure this critical piece of your kit will support many years of service.

Lastly the most important change - a new set of watch hand press tools. Historically we used a set of three tools with double ended heads. You told us that this makes pressing down the hands more difficult, so we changed it.

The new set of 4 hand sets covers all relevant sizes for our range of kits and the precission cut end pieces are fitting exactly over the stem the hand is installed on, but not the next level/stem, ensuring you can install the hands easily and without worrying about excess pressure.

All in all, our new tool kits are a significant improvement to our current sets, offering longer lasting, higher quality tools. And the best part? The kits will continue to be included in our full watchmaking kits at the same price!

All the best from London!
